10.4, 10.5, 10.6 OS X — Apple Mac’s operating systems.
Huge jump regarding features on 10.4 to 10.5, while not much different features on 10.5 with 10.6 but it shows lots of performance leaps! For instance, 64-bit architecture top to bottom. Grand Central Dispatch taking control of traffic flow for multi-core systems.
Only some features I cannot enjoy due to the hardware specs of my MacBook, OpenCL: Use the power of Graphic Card’s processor to reduce CPU load. So your CPU can work on something else while you’re encoding videos or something. Three/Four-fingers gestures, not on my old MacBook’s trackpad.

There are still problems with connecting to network computer. Sometimes when it’s not working, I have to restart and it work again. A version before (10.5.11, i think) works the best, the most stable patch (in regard to connecting to PC computer through local network).
I still can see rooms for improvements and polishing the features and performance here and there.
A bit disappointed with the voice recognition, as it has no improvement from 10.5 version. I was hoping that 64-bit will allow more fluid, more human-like voice control and command sensing. I was hoping it would be like “Jarvis” in Ironman movie.

All and all, I’m quite happy with the upgrade. The 64-bit processing really speed things up in some situations. Among other cool visual effects, and those icons on the dock got new drop shadow effect! Cleaner QuickTime Xperience, really nice! MightyMouse battery status, in percentage. Annotation for Preview. Smoother Spaces transition. Faster Spotlight response. And more…
ps: I freed up 7 GB of space after Snow Leopard installation!

frequent finder crashes when connected to Windows Vista via Samba, which was not too frequent on mid Leopard (10.5.6+).
Safari did improved its crash-resiliency. Spaces snappier. QTX gorgeous, and the videos play even on thumbnail view!
My wishes:
+ Apple will fix the Samba network connection
+ More crash resistant finder
+ Bigger RAM support for MacBook Core Duo (1st gen intel mac MacBook)
+ Volume on iTunes, what’s up with this max volume being so low?
+ Want to see new replacement for Wireless Mighty Mouse!!! Hate that nipple scroll ball thingy.
Post update on Snow Leopard:
Frequent crashes and NOT real-time files (reads from cached) in Finder when read/connected to Windows Vista machine.
Finder sometimes NOT reading the files real-time on connected Windows Vista machine. For example:
a. file1.jpg (saved on 12:00PM) was copied to Mac OSX desktop correctly from a Windows Vista connected via Samba (smb).
b. Then file1.jpg was overwritten (same filename, saved on 12:05PM).
c. file1.jpg was copied again to Mac OSX desktop with the same way as previous, but file1.jpg that saved to Mac OSX desktop is the file1.jpg (saved on 12:00PM) version NOT the latest (saved on 12:05PM) version.
This never happen on Leopard / Tiger. It seems that Snow Leopard reads from its cached files list. Hope this bug fixed with the next patch release.
